STORMWATER
MANAGEMENT PLAN
for Chickamauga, Georgia
The
City of Chickamauga submitted
a Stormwater Management Plan to
the Georgia Environmental Protection
Division (EPD) on August 17, 2005.
The Plan was approved by the City
Council and signed by Mayor Crowder
on August 17, 2005; and is available
for review by the public at City
Hall or by clicking HERE
to
read online.
The
Plan requires several new Ordinances
to prevent silt and trash in water
runoff from construction activities.
An important part of the Plan
is to inform and educate the citizens
as to how they can help keep the
water clean by not putting trash
in the ditches, using fertilizer
wisely, and preventing litter.

One item we have identified is
to use this City Website to inform
and educate; this page is our
start. In addition we plan
to incorporate demonstrations
to our Elementary, Middle,
and High School students as a
part of their curriculum.
